Pravs World >> Appreciate Simple Things

Appreciate Simple Things

Believe in yourself and your values, don’t sell out when things go wrong.
Don’t let anything get you down, always bounce back up.

Set goals for your future, never settle for less.
Realize that there are others in the world with much bigger problems than you.

Appreciate the good things in your life and be thankful for the time you have with your loved ones.
Spend more time with your family and friends.

Appreciate the simple things in life and don’t get caught up in material things.

Text Mail >> 11 Rules of Life

Written by pravsj on Monday, June 25th, 2007 in How To Live, Life, Text Mail.

11 Rules of Life

Rule one
Life is not fair; get used to it.

Rule two
The world won’t care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

Rule three
You will NOT make 40 thousand dollars a year right out of high school. You won’t be a vice president with car phone, until you earn both.

Rule four
If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss. He doesn’t have tenure.

Rule five
Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your grandparents had a different word for burger flipping; they called it opportunity.

Rule six
If you mess up, it’s not your parents’ fault, so don’t whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

Rule seven
Before you were born, your parents weren’t as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you are. So before you save the rainforest from the parasites of your parents’ generation, try “delousing” the closet in your own room.

Rule eight
Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life has not. In some schools they have abolished failing grades; they’ll give you as many times as you want to get the right answer. This doesn’t bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

Rule nine
Life is not divided into semesters. You don’t get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you find yourself. Do that on your own time.

Rule 10
Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

Rule 11
Be nice to nerds. Chances are you’ll end up working for one.

Poem Book >> Train Of Life

Written by pravsj on Tuesday, June 19th, 2007 in How To Live, Life, Poem Book.

Train Of Life
Some folks ride the train of life
Looking out the rear,
Watching miles of life roll by,
And marking every year.

They sit in sad remembrance,
Of wasted days gone by,
And curse their life for what it was,
And hang their head and cry.

But I don’t concern myself with that,
I took a different vent,
I look forward to what life holds,
And not what has been spent.

So strap me to the engine,
As securely as I can be,
I want to be out on the front,
To see what I can see.

I want to feel the winds of change,
Blowing in my face,
I want to see what life unfolds,
As I move from place to place.

I want to see what’s coming up,
Not looking at the past,
Life’s too short for yesterdays,
It moves along too fast.

So if the ride gets bumpy,
While you are looking back,
Go up front, and you may find,
Your life has jumped the track.

It’s all right to remember,
That’s part of history,
But up front’s where it’s happening,
There’s so much mystery.

The enjoyment of living,
Is not where we have been,
It’s looking ever forward,
To another year and ten.

It’s searching all the byways,
Never should you refrain,
For if you want to live your life,
You gotta drive the train.

Pravs World >> Love Life

Love Life

Realize things before its too late.
Have lots of friends before you are alone.
Accept things rather than deny them.
Love people befor you lose them.

Life comes just once. Love it while you live it.

Text Mail >> The Boomerang

Written by pravsj on Sunday, June 17th, 2007 in How To Live, Relations, Text Mail.

The Boomerang
Whether you realize it or not, you are throwing the boomerang today. As you know, a boomerang is an angular club you toss away from you that eventually returns to you.

In the game of life, you throw the boomerang daily, in the form of actions and behaviors that you send out into the world, and which return to you at some later date — often multiplied on the rebound.

You’ve probably heard this principle stated in different ways, including, What goes around comes around.  Give and it shall be given unto you and As you sow, so shall you reap.

But how does this principle apply to your day-to-day life Simply put, if you treat others with love and respect, you will find that others will generally love and respect you. If you serve others, you will likely be served. Of course, this law also applies to negative behaviors. If you are critical and judgmental, don’t be surprised when you are criticized and judged.

Many people don’t believe in the boomerang principle because they fail to view it with a long term perspective. In fact, the return for your actions is seldom immediate. There is often a delay between your actions and the rebounding consequences.

People also have trouble with this concept because they look for the return to come from the same person to whom they gave something. It doesn’t usually work that way. You’ll never know where the return will be coming from — or when it will arrive — but it always comes.

It’s really quite simple send it out and receive it back. So, if you want to receive love….give love. If you want people to appreciate you….show your appreciation for others. And if you want others to help you, then lend a helping hand yourself.

You have the power to create the life you want. It all depends on how you throw the boomerang!

Poem Book >> Be Passionate Through Life!

Written by pravsj on Sunday, June 17th, 2007 in How To Live, Life, Poem Book.

Be Passionate Through Life!

Be passionate.
When one is passionate there is a deep desire. A fire inside.
And the will to approach life’s circumstances and challenges,
in a real way both to yourself and others.

To explore your creative side, express yourself, in depth and knowledge.
There is no need to be quiet.
There is no need to hold back.

Run free and explore your life.
With perseverance, consistency, Always listening.
The inner ability to strive on, to  proceed in power love and a sound mind.

Be willing, Be able.
Strive on with passion, but let wisdom be your guard,
let understanding build character in you, appreciate beauty, sincerity, purity.
Keep it close never exchange it.
For it is like hidden treasure waiting to discovered.

Take Life Your Way

Remember you are born to live.
Don’t live because you are born!

Don’t go the way life takes you…
Take life the way you go!!

Pravs World >> Focus On Goals

Focus on Goals

Life is full of hills and valleys, some of which would want us to quit along the way.

It is during these times that we need to check our focus and remember that - the focus needs to be on the finish, not the difficulties along the way.

Set your eye on the goals. Do not be worried of the difficulties on your way, keep your focus on your goals.

Text Mail >> The Truth About Failure

The Truth About Failure

Failure doesn’t mean you are a failure… …it does mean you haven’t succeeded yet.

Failure doesn’t mean you have accomplished nothing… …it does mean you have learned something.

Failure doesn’t mean you have been a fool… …it does mean you had a lot of faith.

Failure doesn’t mean you have been disgraced… …it does mean you were willing to try.

Failure doesn’t mean you don’t have it… …it does mean you have to do something in a different way.

Failure doesn’t mean you are inferior… …it does mean you are not perfect.

Failure doesn’t mean you’ve wasted your life… …it does mean you’ve a reason to start afresh.

Failure doesn’t mean you should give up… …it does mean you should try harder.

Failure doesn’t mean you’ll never make it… …it does mean it will take a little longer.

Failure doesn’t mean God has abandoned you… …it does mean God has a better idea!

Poem Book >> Stepping Stones

Written by pravsj on Tuesday, June 12th, 2007 in Confidence, Determination, Dreams, How To Live, Poem Book.

Stepping Stones

The Lord came to me like a dream one day and asked, why do you sorrow
I answered, Lord my life is so full of pain, I can’t face one more tomorrow.

The Lord sat down beside me, and gently took my hand.
He said, Let me explain to you and then you’ll understand.

Each sorrow is a stepping stone you must surmount each day,
And every stepping stone you climb is a sorrow that’s passed away.

The road of life is a mountainside, with crevices in which to be caught,
But as you struggle on your way, I, the Rock, will lend support.

Every stepping stone you climb, makes spirit and heart grow strong.
Exercising character and faith this road seems painful and long.

The way is paved with stepping stones, to uplift your heart and soul,
Though difficult they aid your way, to a City paved with gold.

I know that you are tired, for I too have walked this way,
My sorrows did they multiply, but I cleared the stones away.

I left my rock to lift you up, I left behind my story.
To give you strength to make your climb, to that special place in glory.

And never fear, the Rock is here, You’ll never climb alone
Surmount life’s sorrows, continue on, For they are but stepping stones.
