Pravs World: A Chance To Start

A Chance To Start

How often we wish for another chance to make a fresh begining.
A chance to blot out our mistakes and change failure into winning.

It does not take a special time to make a brand new start.
It only takes the deep desire to try with all our heart.

To live a little better, to always be forgiving.
To add a little sunshine in a world for which we’re living.

Never give up in despair nor think you are through.
For there’s always a tomorrow, A chance to start a new.

Text Mail: Monday Morning Greetings!

Written by pravsj on Sunday, September 30th, 2007 in Attitude, Learning, Life, Living Today, Text Mail, Time, Tomorrow.

Monday Morning Greetings!

Imagine there is a bank that credits your account each morning with Rs 86,400. It carries over no balance from day to day; allows you to keep no cash balance; every night deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day. What would you do with such an account Draw out every penny, of course!!!

Every one of us has such a ‘bank’. Its name is TIME. Every morning it credits you with 86,400 seconds. Every night it writes off as lost whatever of this you have failed to invest to good purpose. It carries over no balance. It allows no overdraft.

Each day it opens a new account for you. Each night it burns the records of the day. If you fail to use the day’s deposits, the loss is yours. There is no going back. There is no drawing against tomorrow. You must live in the present -on today’s deposits. Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness and success!

The clock is running. Make the most of today!! And make it a great week ahead!!

Poem Book: Do You Still Have Hope

Written by pravsj on Sunday, September 30th, 2007 in Hope, Learning, Life, People, Poem Book.

Do You Still Have Hope

If you can look at the sunset and smile, then you still have hope…
If you can find beauty in the colors of a small flower, then you still have hope…
If you can find pleasure in the movement of a butterfly, then you still have hope…
If the smile of a child can still warm your heart, then you still have hope…

If you can see the good in other people, then you still have hope…
If the rain breaking on a roof top can still lull you to sleep, then you still have hope…
If the sight of a rainbow still makes you stop and stare in wonder, then you still have hope…
If the soft fur of a favored pet still feels pleasant under your fingertips, then you still have hope…

If you meet new people with a trace of excitement and optimism, then you still have hope…
If you give people the benefit of a doubt, then you still have hope…
If you still offer your hand in friendship to others that have touched your life, then you still have hope…
If receiving an unexpected card or letter still brings a pleasant surprise, then you still have hope…

If the suffering of others still fills you with pain and frustration, then you still have hope…
If you refuse to let a friendship die, or accept that it must end, then you still have hope…
If you look forward to a time or place of quiet and reflection, then you still have hope…
If you still buy the ornaments, put up the Christmas tree or cook the turkey, then you still have hope…

If you still watch love stories or want the endings to be happy, then you still have hope…
If you can look to the past and smile, then you still have hope….

If, when faced with the bad, when told everything is futile, you can still look up and end the conversation with the phrase… yeah….BUT.. Then you still have hope…

Hope is such a marvelous thing. It bends, it twists, it sometimes hides, but rarely does it break… It sustains us when nothing else can… It gives us reason to continue and courage to move ahead, when we tell ourselves we’d rather give in…

Hope puts a smile on our face when the heart cannot manage… Hope puts our feet on the path when our eyes cannot see it… Hope moves us to act when our souls are confused of the direction….

Hope is a wonderful thing, something to be cherished and nurtured, and something that will refresh us in return… And it can be found in each of us, and it can bring light into the darkest of places…

Never lose hope…

Pravs World: Happiness Will Find You

Happiness Will Find You

Happiness lives for those who cry, those who are hurt, those who have searched, and those who tried. For only they can appreciate the importance of people who have touched their lives.

The happiest of people don’t necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

If you pursue happiness, it will elude you. But if your focus on your family, your friends, the needs of others, your work and doing the very best you can, happiness will find you.

Pravs World: Look Within

Look Within

People spend a lifetime searching for happiness; looking for peace.
They chase idle dreams, addictions, religions, even other people, hoping to fill the emptiness that plagues them.

The irony is that the only place they ever needed to search was withing themselves.

Text Mail: Cure For Sorrow

Written by pravsj on Thursday, September 27th, 2007 in Change, Character, Experience, Helping, Hope, How To Live, Learning, Life, Sorrow, Text Mail.

Cure For Sorrow

There is an old Chinese tale about a woman whose only son died.

In her grief, she went to the holy man and said, “What prayers, what magical incantations do you have to bring my son back to life?”

Instead of sending her away or reasoning with her, he said to her, “Fetch me a mustard seed from a home that has never known sorrow. We will use it to drive the sorrow out of your life.”

The woman went off at once in search of that magical mustard seed. She came first to a splendid mansion, knocked at the door, and said, “I am looking for a home that has never known sorrow. Is this a place? It is very important to me.”

They told her, “You’ve certainly come to the wrong place,” and began to describe all the tragic things that recently had befallen them. The woman said to herself, “Who is better able to help these poor, unfortunate people that I, who have had misfortune of my own?”

She stayed to comfort them, and then went on in search of a home that had never known sorrow. But wherever she turned, in hovels and in other places, she found one tale after another of sadness and misfortune.

She became so involved in ministering to other people’s grief that ultimately she forgot about her quest for the magical mustard seed, never realizing that it had, in fact, driven the sorrow out of her life.

Poem Book: If

Written by pravsj on Thursday, September 27th, 2007 in Belief, Hope, How To Live, Learning, Life, Living Today, People, Poem Book, Relations.

If
by Rudyard Kipling

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream-and not make dreams your master;
If you can think-and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build ‘em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: “Hold on!”

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings-nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And-which is more-you’ll be a Man, my son!

Constantly Try To Achieve Something

If we want to gain someone’s attention or want to do something good for human being or want to be a good person, then much difficulty and problem may occur in our way. But we should never give up hope. Instead keep on doing till we reach our goal.

Instead keep on doing till we reach our goal. Once we may not succeed, try twice, if no success, then thrice. Give enough time to the full capacity, then wait for the result.

As we all know that God helps those who are constantly trying to achieve something.

Pravs World: Don’t Forget

Don’t Forget

Many times in our lives we are dropped, crumpled and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances tha come our way. We feel as though we are worthless.

But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value. Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased you are still priceless to those who love you.

The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by who we are.
You are special. Don’t ever forget it.

Don’t Forget

Text Mail: Little Lessons Of Life

Written by pravsj on Monday, September 24th, 2007 in How To Live, Learning, Life, Text Mail.

Little Lessons Of Life

Don’t go for looks, they can deceive.
Don’t go for wealth even that fades away.
Go for someone who makes you smile.

There are moments in life
when you really miss someone
that you want to pick them up
from your dreams and hug them.
Hope you dream of that someone.

Dream what you want to dream,
go where you want to go,
be what you want to be,
because you have only one life
and one chance to do all the things
you want in life.

May you have…
Enough happiness to make you sweet
Enough trials to make you strong
Enough sorrow to keep you human
Enough hope to make you happy
And enough money to buy gifts.

When one door of happiness closes, another opens.
But we often took so long at the closed door,
that we don’t see the one which has been opened for us.

The best kind of friend is the one
you could sit on a porch, swing with,
never saying a word and then walk away feeling
like that was the best conversation you’ve had.

It’s true that we don’t know
what we’ve got until we lose it,
but it’s also true that we don’t know what
we’ve been missing until it arrives.

Always put yourself in other’s shoes.
If you feel that it hurts you,
it probably does hurt the person too.

A careless word may kindle a strife;
A cruel word may wreck a life
A timely word may level stress
A lovely word may heal and bless.

The beginning of love is to let those we love
be perfectly themselves and
not to twist them with our own image,
otherwise we love only the reflection
of ourselves we find in them.

The happiest people don’t necessarily
have the best of everything,
they just make the most of everything
that comes along the way.

Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people
before meeting the right one so that
when we finally meet the right person,
we should know how to be grateful for that gift.

It takes a minute to have a crush on someone,
an hour to like someone and a day to love someone
- but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.

Happiness lies for those who cry,
those who hurt,
those who have searched
and those who have tried.
For only they can appreciate the importance
of people who have touched their lives.

Love is when you take away the feeling,
the passion, the romance
and find out you still care for that person.

A sad thing about life is that when you meet
someone who means a lot to you
only to find out in the end that it was never
bound to be and you just have to let go.

Love starts with a smile,
develops with a kiss
and ends with a tear.

Love comes to those who still hope
even though they’ve been disappointed,
to those who still believe
even though they’ve been betrayed,
need to love those who still love,
even though they’ve been hurt before.

It hurts to love someone,
and not to be loved in return
but what is most painful is to love someone
and never finds the courage
to let the person know how you feel.

The brightest future will always
be based on a forgotten past.
You can’t go on well in life until you let go
of your past failures and heartaches.

Never say goodbye when you still want to try;
Never give up when you still feel you can take it;
Never say you don’t love that person anymore
when you can’t let go.

Giving someone all your love
is never an assurance that they’ll love you back.
Don’t expect love in return,
just wait for it to grow in their hearts
but if it doesn’t,
be content it grew in yours.

There are things you love to hear
but you would never hear it from
the person whom you would like to hear it from,
but don’t be deaf to hear it from the person
who says it with his heart.

When you were born, you were crying
and everyone around you was smiling.
Live your life to the fullest so that when you die,
you’re smiling and everyone around you is crying.
