Are You Blessed?

If you woke up this morning with more health than illness……….you are more blessed than the million who will not survive this week.

If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation…….you are ahead of 500 million people in the world.

If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep…you are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace……. you are among the top 8% of the world’s wealthy.

If your parents are still alive and still married……..you are very rare, even in the United States.

If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful…..you are blessed because the majority can, but most do not.

If you prayed yesterday and today……..you are in the minority because you believe God does hear and answer prayers.

If you can read now, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read at all.

If you are still regretting over anything today, make yourself understand that you are blessed more than many people around you.

Try cheering them up in some few, you will be satisfied more with your life. Bless you.

    I still remember my biology teacher comments in std.12:
    Anytime if you fill you are unlucky/frustrated, just look at people who are not as well of as you. This will work as heal.
    Anytime if you fill you are achiever, just look at people who are doing better than you, you will realize there is lot to achieve.

    btw, I hated biology subject the most :)

    Thanks for this wonderful message. People forget to appreciate what they have today and dwelve into the Past or worry too much about the future which leads to unhappiness. The whole problem lies in comparing themselves with someone else. eg. I have a smaller car than my neighbour and hence I need to buy a bigger car. The comparision could also have been done with another person or neighbour who does not have a car but usually this type of comparisions does not happen. Pravsworld. Thanks again.

    I would like us all to go one step ahead of being happy that we are blessed and that is to find people who are not in each of the things you mentioned and make their life a little more comfortable.

    The human tendency is to always complain.We are never satisfied with what we have.When the circumstances are not in favour of us…we ask god….why me? we are never ready to face tough situations.By god’s grace we have everything…so we should always thank god for giving us such a wonderful life…and instead of crying we shoud try to tackle the problems boldly…thanks for such a nice thought
