Pravs World: Let Me Know Now

Let Me Know Now

If you are ever going to love me; love me now.
While I can know the sweet and tender feelings
from which true affections flows.

Love me now while I am living. Do not wait until I am gone.
To have those sweet words chiseled in marble on ice-cold stone.

If you have tender thoughts of me, please let me know now.
Not when I am not there.

Poem Book: If I Could

Written by pravsj on Sunday, October 14th, 2007 in Friendship, Poem Book.

If I Could…

If I could catch a rainbow
I would do it just for you,
And share with you its beauty
The days you’re feeling blue.

If I could build a mountain
You could call it your very own.
A place to find serenity,
A place to be alone.

If I could take your troubles
I would toss them in the sea,
But all these things I’m finding
Are impossible for me.

I cannot build you a mountain
Or catch you a rainbow fair,
But let me be what I do best,
A friend that’s always there.

Poem Book: When I Close My Eyes

Written by pravsj on Sunday, September 9th, 2007 in Friendship, Poem Book.

When I Close My Eyes

I know when I close my eyes,
They spread their wings to fly.
I can see their halos glow,
when I close my eyes.

They drift amongst the clouds,
always looking down.
Watching over me when days go by.
I know they do this when I close my eyes.

I bet they talk about my love and hates
and they can determine my own fate
And I bet they talk to God each night
To make sure what I do at night.

But God didn’t put wings on friends,
though I do not know why.
Because I know that they are angels
Every time I close my eyes.

Pravs World >> Hold On To Friendship

Hold On To Friendship

Friendship isn’t how you forget, but how you forgive.
Not how you listen, but how you understand.
Not how you see, but how you feel.
Not how you let go, but how you hold on!

Pravs World >> That’s Why We Need Friends

That’s Why We Need Friends

We need friends for many reasons, all throughout the four seasons.

We need friends to comfort us when we are sad,
and to have fun with us when we are glad.

We need friends to give us good advice.
We need someone we can count on to treat us nice.

We need friends because we are social in nature,
and having friends makes us feel secure.

We need friends to remember us once we have passed
sharing memories that will always last.

That’s why I need YOU!

Friend And Acquaintance

There is a difference between being an acquaintance and being a friend. An acquaintance is someone whose name you know, who you see every now and then, who you probably have something in common with and who you feel comfortable
around.

It’s a person that you can invite to your home and share things with. But they are people who you don’t share your life with, whose actions sometimes you don’t understand because you don’t know enough about them.

On the other hand, a friend is someone you love. Not that you are “in love” with them, but you care about them and you think about them when they are not there. The people you are reminded of when you see something they might like, and you know this because you know them so well. They are the people whose pictures you have and whose faces are in your head regardless.

Friends are the people you feel safe around because you know they care about you. They call just to see how you are doing, because a friend doesn’t need an excuse. They tell you the truth, the first time, and you do the same. You know that if you have a problem, they are there to listen.

Friends are the people who won’t laugh at you or hurt you, and if they do hurt you they try hard to make it up to you. They are the people you love, regardless of whether you realize it.

Friends are the people you cried with when you got rejected from colleges and during the last song at the prom and at graduation. They are the people that when you hug them, you don’t think about how long to hug and who’s going to be the first one to let go.

Maybe they are the people that hold the rings at your wedding, or maybe they are the people who give you away at your wedding, or maybe they are the people you marry. Maybe they are the people who cry at your wedding because they are happy or because they are proud.

They are the people who stop you from making mistakes and help you when you do. They are are the people whose hand you can hold, or you can hug or give them a kiss and not have it be awkward because they understand the things you do and they love you for them.

They stick with you and stand by you. They hold your hand. They watch you live and you watch them live and you learn from them. Your life is not the same without them.

Poem Book >> Friends Till The End

Written by pravsj on Saturday, August 4th, 2007 in Friendship, Poem Book.

Friends Till The End

Friends ’till the end,
That’s what we always said,
Even when all hopes were dead.

Friends ’till the end,
We will always be,
Nothing can ever come between you and me.

Friends ’till the end,
Even when nothing will bend,
Our friendship we will always mend.

Friends ’till the end,
There’s nothing we can’t overcome,
I know you’ll be there when I need someone.

Friends ’till the end,
We will never part,
As long as we have each other in our hearts.

Friends ’till the end,
Lies never told,
Standing together so strong and so bold.

Friends ’till the end,
With nowhere to begin,
I know I’ll never be without you as a friend.

Friends ’till the end,
You can cry on my shoulder,
That’s what I’ve always told her.

Friends ’till the end,
Through sun and snow,
While others still come and go.

Friends ’till the end,
When my light fades away,
She brings back the sunlight into my day.

Friends ’till the end,
Nothing else in mind,
Someone who’s always there when you’re in a bind.

Friends ’till the end,
All throughout time,
I’m proud to say you’re a friend of mine.

Friends ’till the end,
Even with a fight,
We’ll always be friends again that night.

Friend ’till the end,
Through thick and thin,
A strong friendship will always win.

Friends ’till the end,
Through laughter and tears,
With a friend you can overcome any fears.

Friend ’till the end,
We share all our dreams,
We will make it by any means.

Friends ’till the end,
Our hopes will all come true,
There’s no other pair like me and you.

Friends ’till the end,
Through highs and lows,
When we’re together anything goes.

Friends ’till the end,
We’re in the same boat,
But it will always stay afloat.

Friends ’till the end,
I’ll never be alone again,
As long as I have you as a friend.

Friends ’till the end,
No matter what people say,
We will always go our own way.

We may take other paths,
And go separate ways,
But we’ll always meet at the bend,
Because we’re friends ’till the end.

Poem Book >> Friends Like You

Written by pravsj on Saturday, July 28th, 2007 in Friendship, Poem Book.

Friends Like You

The days of cloud or sunshine,
The moments that we share,
The timely word, the thoughtful line,
The note that says “I care”

Mean more to me than I can say,
So it’s time, I think, you knew,
How much it brightens up my day,
To have a friend like you!

When I think of you what comes to mind,
Is all the great times we’ve shared.
You’re one of those special people,
Who make life worth living,

Because you’ve taken the time to care!
When I feel a little blue,
The easiest thing for me to do,
Is remember that things really can’t be,
All that bad when I have wonderful friends like you!

Poem Book >> Heartprints

Written by pravsj on Tuesday, July 24th, 2007 in Friendship, People, Poem Book, Relations.

Heartprints

Whatever our hands touch—
We leave fingerprints!
On walls, on furniture,
On doorknobs, dishes, books,
As we touch we leave our identity.

Oh please where ever I go today,
Help me leave heartprints!
Heartprints of compassion
Of understanding and love.
Heartprints of kindness
and genuine concern.

May my heart touch a lonely neighbor
Or a runaway daughter,
Or an anxious mother,
Or, perhaps, a dear friend!

I shall go out today
To leave heartprints,
And if someone should say
“I felt your touch,”
May that one sense be…YOUR LOVE
Touching through ME.

This is to all the wonderful people
I have met!

I offer you my hand in friendship
so that when you reach out in times of need,
you can be certain that I’ll always be there.
when it returns to you,
you’ll know who’ll be your friends for life!!!

Text Mail >> Friendship Has No Fear

Written by pravsj on Saturday, May 26th, 2007 in Friendship, Text Mail.

Friendship Has No Fear

A soldier approached his officer; seeking his permission to fetch his friend, not yet back from the battlefield. The officer refused permission stating that his friend would be probably dead.  There was no point in going out and losing his life, too, the officer said.

Unmindful of the consequence, the soldier went and an hour later returned, mortally wounded, carrying his dead friend.

The officer was furious; “Ï told you he was dead.  Now I’ve lost both of you.  Tell me, was it worth going out there to bring in a corpse”

The dying man replied, “Öh, it was sir.  When I got to him he was still alive.  And he said to me, ‘Jack, I was sure you would come.”

Friendship has no fear. It expresses itself in sacrifice. Humanity survives purely because of love for each other.
