The Time Is Now

The Time Is Now
If there was ever a time to dare, to make a difference,
to embark on something worth doing, IT IS NOW.

Not for any grand cause, necessarily… but for something that tugs at your heart,
something that’s your inspiration,  something that’s your dream.
You owe it to yourself, to make your days here count.

    Hello! Glad I found you on Twitter.

    I saw the movie “Precious” last week, and was inspired by the slogan of the school in the movie.

    “EACH ONE || TEACH ONE”

    Was it Plato who said a school room is a log with a teacher sitting on one end and a student on the other end?

    I had met a little six-year-old girl whose parents own a restaurant in our town. The parents are from Thailand. Regrettably, the father, who is the restaurant cook, does not speak English. Mother does and she is very kind. Their little girl was born in Omaha, Nebraska and just entered first grade in September.

    This child is smart as a whip and adorable.I am totally transfixed. I started bringing books and toys to the restaurant. Her light Thai accent is easily corrected at this age. We used an old tape recorder so she could hear her voice. This month, her parents cooked Tom Kha soup. I am a teacher! How wonderful!

    Bringing hope, joy and love to just one little child is exactly what I needed this year.

    Thanks for all you do with your tweets and your uplifting blog.

    Cordially,
