Way You Look At Things

Way You Look At Things

One day a father and his rich family took his son to a trip to the country with the firm purpose to show him how poor people can be. They spent a day and a night in the farm of a very poor family. When they got back from their trip the father asked his son, “How was the trip?”

“Very good Dad!” replied his son.

“Did you see how poor people can be?” the father asked.

“Yeah!”

“And what did you learn?”

The son answered, “I saw that we have a dog at home, and they have four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of the garden; they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lamps in the garden; they have the stars. Our patio reaches to the front yard, they have a whole horizon.” When the little boy was finishing, his father was speechless.

His son added, “Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are!”

Our outlook on life depends on the way you look at things. What others may think as riches, others may want.

The most important things in life are your friends, family, health, good humor and a positive attitude towards life. If you have these then you have everything!

You have TWO simple ways to look at things:-

One is “it is Raining today & you Forgot your umbrella” the Other is ” God just wanted to Water the plants” …

    Choice is yours…

Always remember there’s a lot in life with open eyes…

We so rarely appreciate what we have in life because we are continuously chasing what we think we should have. God knows precisely what we need and gives it to us - all He expects us to do is to be able to actually recognise our blessings!

Nice! Very true thinking about life that how poor we are.We have everything in life but we are poor because we are not satisfied with ourself and our society.

IT is way of looking at life: ‘Half Glass Filled’ / ‘Half Glass Empty’.

It is preferrable to see life with ‘Half Glass Filled’ view as it gives you satisfaction and it is one of the important factors for relieving stree.

    Nice….. BUT
It’s up to you how you can see the life. We can’t say all rich people are poor.
Did you know why son give unpredicted answer.
Because he didn’t see the “How the poor people can be” but he feel “How the poor people can be live and enjoying there life”

    really nice. thanks
it remind me of friend who gave us a picture and asked what we see on the picture. i could see an old lady and others could see a young wearing a necklace, we argue until i could show others the old lady and they showed me a young lady.

it really helps me understand that we see and understand differently.
    that was a nice story

    Dear Prav,

You have really inspired me by your your usual pravsworld. I have been motivated severally by the wisdom behind the words. Very reflective. What is riches and what is poverty. A selfish rich man by my consideration is poor, but an unselfish poor man that is ready to share the little he has is really rich. We can be poor but making many rich.
    Thanks prav.

    Dear Pravs World,
I thank you a million times for your inspirational postings.
Pravs World is a very good source of motivation for me. But I wonder if there is a typo mistake in this writing.
What others may think as riches, others may WANT .
It doesn’t make sense, does it?
I understand it in this way:
What others may think as riches, others may NOT.
    Again, my thanks to Pravs.

Some people would say the child is too naive to not see what the poor people have to face in life that rich people doesn’t have to… Like rich people can drive a comfortable car where poor people had to walk on their bare feet. But I say, may be it’s the adults that think too much where the poor people in their own view does not feel poor in anyway and are happily walking and enjoying the view which the rich people in car had missed… At the end, it is how we think of ourselves that counts. What others say about us doesn’t really mean that is how we are.

    Dear Pravs Talk,
Sorry, but to make the above sentence grammatical, it must be
What some may think as riches, others may NOT.
    Thank you very much

The most important thing is walking with what GOD want us to do, by using HIS paradigm, HIS heart and HIS thought….even if we are in sufferring, we still can say that we are a blessed person.

Thanks Prav for you inspiring words. Gbu
